LVC Students to Host Inaugural "Move Along" 5k Run/1-Mile Walk as Course Project
The April 18 event is a fundraiser to support Covenant House Pennsylvania.
Annville, PA (01/30/2026) — When Dr. Jenna Marx, Associate Professor of Psychology, designed her Immersive Experience course, Homelessness and Affordable Housing in Our Community, she wanted something challenging and hands-on so her students would gain perspective on a social issue affecting countless people in the U.S. Through brainstorming with her students at the start of the semester, the idea of creating a fundraising event to partner with a charitable organization that helps young adults experiencing homelessness emerged.
The discussions quickly evolved into hosting the "Move Along" 5k Run/1-Mile Walk to benefit the Covenant House PA(CHPA). According to its mission, "CPHA builds a bridge to hope for young people experiencing homelessness, human trafficking, and other systematic injustices through unconditional love, absolute respect, and relentless support.
