LVC's La Vie Collegienne Receives Student Keystone Media Award
La Vie is recognized for Web Content.
Annville, PA (03/24/2025) — La Vie Collegienne, Lebanon Valley College's student-run newspaper since 1924, was awarded second place (Division II) for Web Content for the Student Keystone Media Awards. The awards recognize high school and college journalism that provides relevance, integrity, and initiative in serving readers.
Jess Benninger '25, Editor, and Tylee Stauffer '24, Associate Editor, Justin Kopp '25, Associate Editor, and Marina Bitcliff '25, under the guidance of Advisor Jaime Fettrow-Alderfer, Assistant Professor of English, oversee numerous LVC student writers, reporters, and photographers who provide content for the La Vie website and several print editions the team produces every academic year. The staff will be honored at WITF's Public Media Center in Harrisburg on April 3.
Benninger, an English and Psychology double major with a Journalism and Communications, has written for La Vie since her first year on campus.
"This award is very exciting because there have been so many students who have contributed to the website over the past year," said Benninger. "I've been writing for La Vie since my first year at LVC, so it feels full circle to see the staff recognized for stories published during the time that I have served as Editor-in-Chief."
Benninger will continue as Editor-in-Chief until graduating in December.
"I'm so proud of the students, past and present, who recognize the importance of our website," noted Fettrow-Alderfer, who has advised La Vie since 2016. "Their work is on display 24/7, and they take that responsibility seriously.
"Storytelling is critical. I'm very impressed by our students who continue to write stories about students and faculty that matter."
