LVC's Wig and Buckle Theater Company Receives Grant for ASL Interpreters
Grant provides two ASL interpreters for Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe
Annville, PA (01/22/2025) — Lebanon Valley College's student-run American Sign Language (ASL) Club received an Inclusive Excellence Microgrant grant from LVC to hire two ASL interpreters for an upcoming on-campus performance.
Brooke Lehrman '26, M'27, a Communication Sciences & Disorders major pursuing a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, announced that the Wig and Buckle Theater Company will employ two ASL interpreters for the January 25 performance of Nightfall with Edgar Allan Poe (by Eric Coble) in the College's Leedy Theater. Lehrman, President of the ASL Club, noted that this is a first for Wig and Buckle, LVC's oldest student organization. Tickets for the 7 p.m. performance can be purchased here.

About Wig and Buckle
Founded in 1935, the Wig and Buckle Theater Company is proud of its tradition of providing quality live theater produced and performed by students for the LVC campus and the central Pennsylvania community.
The oldest continually operational student organization on campus, Wig and Buckle annually produces three to four shows a year. Wig and Buckle also serves as the resident theater company for the LVC English Department's Theater Concentration, playing a vital co-curricular role in the training and application of students' theater skills.
