Students Perform Community Service for Area Middle Schools

Details: Lebanon Valley College students will conduct several service activities to benefit students in the Annville-Cleona School District, Lebanon School District, United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR), and Lebanon Family Health Services. Activities include:
*"I have a dream speech-re-mastered" contest: Students will interpret Dr. King's speech using their preferred medium (paint, poetry, video, etc.).
*Community Service: Students will assemble Martin Luther King Jr. quote onto caribiner clips, including 500 to be used in lessons later that week for 5th graders in the Lebanon School District and 6th graders in the Annville-Cleona School District.
*Community Service: Students will cut material that UMCOR will use to make school bags for children affected by emergencies or crises. Other students will assemble packets for Lebanon Family Health Services.
*Academics: Students will reflect on their dream for the LVC community and share responses.
*Dining: Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s favorite foods will be served in the College's dining hall.
