Lebanon Valley College Listed #1 Among All U.S. Colleges and Universities in "The Best Colleges in Each State for Getting a Job 2018"
LVC beat out schools ranking highest in their state including Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, and Vanderbilt.
Annville, PA (06/07/2018) — Career guidance site Zippia has identified Lebanon Valley College as #1 among all U.S. colleges and universities in its listing of "The Best Colleges in Each State for Getting a Job 2018." The placement rate for Lebanon Valley is 96.185%.
Zippia used the College Scorecard Data to search "for the college in each state with the highest listed job placement ratings, looking specifically at employment levels at year 10 after students have graduated."
Lebanon Valley College's #1 listing beat out other schools ranking highest in their state including Georgia Tech, University of Notre Dame, Hobart and William Smith Colleges, The Citadel, and Vanderbilt University. This success also was acknowledged by popular website Thrillist.
"This listing speaks to the outstanding work our staff and faculty do to prepare students to succeed from their first jobs and throughout their careers. And, of course, it reflects the incredible talents and capabilities of our graduates. Lebanon Valley College will soon offer a next-generation model for preparing and launching students into careers to further enhance graduate outcomes. The Edward and Lynn Breen Center for Graduate Success, which begins programming this fall, will offer a developmental model for students to connect networking, internship coordination, professional skill-building, and one-on-one advising. First-year students will work with Breen Center counselors and faculty advisors to discuss paths to achieve career aspirations and fulfill academic majors. In subsequent years, students will participate in internships and other immersive experiences, clarify their goals, adjust plans if necessary, and network with alumni and employers using a database that will serve as a global sphere of influence.
Lebanon Valley College is a private, coeducational college in Annville, Pa. The College offers more than 40 undergraduate majors plus self-designed majors and a range of minors, concentrations, and pre-professional options, as well as graduate degree programs in athletic training, business administration, music education, physical therapy, science in STEM education, speech-language pathology, and fully online MBA.
