Lebanon Valley College celebrated its 148th Commencement on Saturday, May 13 with nearly 500 students receiving their degrees in Louis A. Sorrentino Gymnasium. The 385 graduating seniors were joined by 38 doctor of physical therapy candidates, and 57 master's degree candidates.

Lebanon Valley College celebrated its 147th Commencement on Saturday, May 14 with 476 students receiving their degrees in Sorrentino Gymnasium. The 369 graduating seniors were joined by 37 doctor of physical therapy candidates, and 70 master's degree candidates.

Lebanon Valley College celebrated its 146th Commencement on Saturday, May 9 with 498 students receiving their degrees in Sorrentino Gymnasium. The 381 graduating seniors were joined by 32 doctor of physical therapy candidates, 44 master's degree candidates, and 41 students who graduated in December 2014 and have now formally received their degrees.

Lebanon Valley College's 145th Commencement Exercises May 10 graduated 523 students, who received their degrees in the LVC Gymnasium. The 416 graduating seniors were joined by 29 doctor of physical therapy candidates, 78 master's degree candidates, and 31 students who graduated in December 2013 and have now formally received their degrees.

Nearly 370 students graduated from Lebanon Valley College, Annville, Pa., Saturday, May 11. Commencement ceremonies, held in the LVC Gymnasium, included an address by Dr. Philip Benesch, associate professor of political science and winner of the 2012 Thomas Rhys Vickroy Award for teaching. Benesch encouraged graduates to take hold of the courage that is instilled by a liberal arts educationaEUR"courage in inquiry, courage in self-transformation, and political courage. "We should embolden [students] to question their teachers and to endeavor to contribute to a discipline that remains open to growth and open to innovation. This requires an intellectually courageous approach by the student for which a liberal-arts education...provides an ideal preparation... A liberal arts education must enhance the independent capacity of each student to situate him or herself in the world, transforming it while performing within it... Democracy necessitates the education of each citizen, so that he or she may play a part in checking the power of leaders and evaluating the multiple viewpoints available. Commencement ceremonies, held on the beautiful Academic Quad, included an address by Dr. Catherine Romagnolo, associate professor of English and winner of the 2011 Thomas Rhys Vickroy Award for teaching. Romagnolo wondered what the first graduating class at LVC, the class of 1870, would have been thinking as they prepared to move on from college, and offered this advice: "Never underestimate the power of words, use your words to make change, circulate a discourse of kindness and acceptance, and your world will be an accepting and kind place to live. aEUR~Put an alternative discourse into circulation.'"
