Lebanon Valley College Recognizes Peer Mentors
The Peer Mentor Program begins during orientation and continues throughout the first semester. This program eases the transition of new students to LVC. The primary goals of the program are for new students to succeed socially and academically, to ensure that each new student has an upper-class student from whom they can seek assistance, and to help students become well acquainted with other new students.

A Resident Assistant (RA) oversees a floor or wing in a residence hall. The RA serves as a resource for residential students and provides a residential environment conducive to the overall development of students. Katheryn O'Hara '15: Bringing Her Own Multicultural Awareness to Campus
Impressed by LVC's campus, rigorous academic standards, and extracurricular opportunities, O'Hara came to the Valley, she says, "to make a difference." And she has: A double major in international studies and Spanish, O'Hara is also a resident assistant, Valley Ambassador, and member of the Bias Response Team, Diversity Action Committee and Spanish Club. She recently was named an LVC student trustee for the 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 academic years.

Local Students Selected to Present as part of Lebanon Valley College's Inquiry 2013
Lebanon Valley College's Inquiry 2013 coincided with the Council for Undergraduate Research's week-long celebration of student research and achievement. LVC celebrates the academic, dramatic, athletic, musical, and experiential achievements of the student body. Events began on Sunday, April 14, and concluded Saturday, April 20.
Inquiry 2013 included poster presentations, art displays, poetry readings, oral research presentations, and musical recitals. Every academic department on campus nominated students to share their accomplishments during that week.

Early Childhood Education Summit Conference
Three students from the Lebanon Valley College Education Department accompanied Dr. Ann Berger-Knorr, associate professor of education, to the Early Childhood Education Summit Conference in State College, Pa. on Oct. 23, 2013. The students' presentation explored the use of multicultural picture books as a springboard for discussing issues of social justice with preschool and elementary-aged students.

Lebanon Valley College has named the newest members of its Valley Ambassador team. Valley Ambassadors work with the Office of Admission to conduct campus tours for prospective students and their families. Local Lebanon Valley College Students Represent Spain at European Union Simulation
A delegation of nine Lebanon Valley College students participated in the Mid-Atlantic European Union Simulation in Washington, D.C., in November 2011. Eight current Lebanon Valley College students represented Spain, and LVC alumnus Christopher DeLorenzo '10 served as chair of the council.
Students were assigned to pass a resolution created by a panel of student European Commission members, focusing on Turkish Accession.

Local students are serving in leadership roles at Lebanon Valley College. Student life at LVC is largely student driven, with more than 85 clubs, organizations, and initiatives entirely run by and made up of students.
