Tyler Perhac Recognized as LVC Student-Athlete

Tyler Perhac of Monroeville, Pa., is one of more than 150 student-athletes who competed for the Flying Dutchmen during the 2016-17 winter sports season. Perhac, a graduate of Gateway Senior High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in chemistry at The Valley.

Perhac was a member of the men's ice hockey team. The Flying Dutchmen returned to NCAA Division III for the first time since the 2009-2010 season. They picked up their first NCAA victory in nine years with a 6-4 win against Daniel Webster on Dec. 10. A number of Dutchmen also found individual success this season. Cole Hepler had a standout freshman campaign, being named the ECAC West Rookie of the Year and earning a spot on the all-rookie team and an honorable mention nod. Mike Straub earned all-rookie recognition, Brad Nolan was named to the leagueOs second-team, and Brennan Thompson earned an ECAC West Player of the Week honor.

A member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III, American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), and Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), Lebanon Valley College offers 25 sports.
