Theodora Hermes of Myerstown Inducted to Alpha Kappa Delta Honor Society

Theodora Hermes of Myerstown, Pa., was inducted to the Alpha Kappa Delta sociology honor society at Lebanon Valley College. Hermes is a senior English and sociology major.

Alpha Kappa Delta, the Sociology and Criminal Justice Department honor society, is dedicated to the ideal of Athropon Katamannthanein Diakonesin or "to investigate humanity for the purpose of service." AKD seeks to acknowledge and promote excellence in scholarship in the study of sociology, the research of social problems, and such other social and intellectual activities as will lead to improvement in the human condition.

Lebanon Valley College is located in Annville, Pa., just 15 minutes east of Hershey and 35 minutes east of Harrisburg. Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Baltimore are all approximately two hours from LVC. Founded in 1866, the College welcomes more than 1,600 full-time undergraduate students studying more than 30 majors, as well as self-designed majors. LVC has graduate programs in physical therapy, business administration, music education, and science education.
