Terrence Habiyaremye Recognized for men's track and field at Lebanon Valley College

Terrence Habiyaremye of Hummelstown, Pa., was one of more than 200 Lebanon Valley College students who played a varsity sport during the 2016 spring season. Habiyaremye, a graduate of Central Dauphin East High School, was a member of Lebanon Valley's men's track and field team(s). Habiyaremye is pursuing a bachelor of science in biology at The Valley.

LVC's men's track and field team finished third at the MAC Outdoor Championships this spring. Blake Lutz was named the 2016 MAC Outdoor Rookie of the Year after capturing gold in the decathlon. The men's 4x800m relay team also took gold at the event. The 4x100m relay team now holds the second-best time in LVC history with a 42.48 mark. Nick Scullin ran the 800-meter in 1:54.43, ranking him third all-time in LVC history. Lutz and jumper Randy Harris earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors and 23 athletes earned All-MAC honors.

A member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III, American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), and Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), Lebanon Valley College offers 24 sports.
