Teanna Shutt Recognized as LVC Student-Athlete

Teanna Shutt of Elysburg, Pa., is one of more than 150 student-athletes who competed for the Flying Dutchmen during the 2016-17 winter sports season. Shutt, a graduate of Southern Columbia Area High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in health science at The Valley.

Shutt was a member of the women's track and field team. Olivia Jendrzejewski had another standout season, ending her senior campaign with her second trip to the NCAA Championships where she earned bronze in the long jump to go along with all-America honors. She was named the USTFCCCA Indoor Regional Field Athlete of the Year, all-region, a two-time MAC Field Athlete of the Week, and the MAC Field Athlete of the Year for the second year in a row. Lauren Decker also found success, earning first-team all-conference honors for her MAC title-winning performance in the 400m and her participation in the 4x800 relay. She was also named the MAC Athlete of the Week for her performance at the Bison Open. Shutt was named first team All-Conference in the pole vault and as part of the 4x800 relay.

A member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III, American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), and Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), Lebanon Valley College offers 25 sports.
