Teanna Shutt Earns Middle Atlantic Conference Honor

A pair of Lebanon Valley College soccer players earned MAC Commonwealth Weekly Awards thanks to their stellar efforts in a pair of recent victories. Teanna Shutt of Elysburg, Pa. was named Middle Atlantic Conference women's soccer offensive player of the week. Shutt, who netted three goals to total six points in leading the Flying Dutchmen (7-2-3) to a 2-0 week in conference play, was also named the United Soccer Coaches Division III National Player of the Week. The senior scored two goals, including the game-winner, in a 4-2 win over Alvernia on Wednesday. The forward scored just 7:24 into the match and then again in the 14th minute of play. In a 4-0 win against Hood on Saturday, Shutt scored in the 60th minute to push the LVC lead to 3-0. In addition to her output on the field, she was crowned Homecoming Queen on Saturday afternoon.

Shutt, a graduate of Southern Columbia Area High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in health science at The Valley.
