Stephanie Agudelo Complete Brave Zone Training at Lebanon Valley College

Stephanie Agudelo of Philadelphia, Pa., is one of 34 students who completed the Brave Zone Network Training Program during the fall semester at Lebanon Valley College. Agudelo, a graduate of Nueva Esperanza Acadamy Charter High School, is pursuing a bachelor of arts in criminal justice at The Valley.

The Brave Zone Network Training Program trains students to be walking advocates and allies for their peers of marginalized groups like students of color, members of the LGBT community, students of disability, as well as different religious groups. With individuals having different ideas of what safety means as well as the debate over what a safe space is, Brave Zone looks to prepare members of their network to be ready to acknowledge, support, and advocate for anyone who comes to them, regardless of the space they are in.
