Shane Miller of Manheim a Student Leader at Lebanon Valley College

Shane Miller of Manheim, Pa., is serving as a student leader at Lebanon Valley College this year. Miller is the president of Tau Kappa Epsilon; vice president of the Sociology and Criminal Justice club; and secretary of the Commuter Club.

Tau Kappa Epsilon is the first national social fraternity to receive college recognition and approval. Formal acceptance into the national organization occurred in 1988. Tau Kappa Epsilon is a brotherhood of men who support each other's mental, moral, and social development.

The Sociology and Criminal Justice Club consists of students majoring and minoring in Sociology, majoring in Criminal Justice, and students interested in a look at the "real world". The Club is focused on service learning in the community, academic initiatives, personal growth, departmental unification and enrichment activities.

Lebanon Valley College's Commuter Club was established to better the on-campus experiences of commuting students through activities and events, such as trips, parties, fundraisers, and community service activities as well as the discussion of issues and ideas that are important to commuting students.

Miller is a junior criminal justice and psychology major.

Lebanon Valley College is located in Annville, Pa., just 15 minutes east of Hershey and 35 minutes east of Harrisburg. Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Baltimore are all approximately two hours from LVC. Founded in 1866, the College welcomes more than 1,600 full-time undergraduate students studying more than 30 majors, as well as self-designed majors. It guarantees graduation within four years and offers automatic scholarships to students ranking in the top 30 percent of their high school class worth up to one half the cost of tuition at LVC.
