Samuel Light Receives Player of the Week Honor

Samuel Light of Jonestown, Pa., is one of four Lebanon Valley College student-athletes who received Player of the Week honors for the Flying Dutchmen athletics teams.

Light, a graduate of Northern Lebanon High School was named MAC Commonwealth Men's Basketball Player of the Week. For Light, it is his second conference player of the week award this season. The senior was LVC's top offensive weapon during a pair of conference victories thanks to two 20-plus point performances. The team captain scored a game-high 24 points and swiped a game-best five steals in a 76-69 win over Stevenson on Wednesday night before dropping a game-high 27 points on Hood to go along with three assists and two steals in a 92-83 road victory on Saturday afternoon. For the week, the guard averaged 25.5 points, 3.5 steals, two assists, and two rebounds per contest.

Light is pursuing a bachelor of science in business administration at The Valley.
