Ryan Bibeau Serves the Community During Spring Break Service Trip

Ryan Bibeau of Severn, Md., traveled with seven additional Lebanon Valley College students and two staff members to Washington, D.C. for a spring break service trip that focused on homelessness and poverty. Bibeau, a graduate of Mount Saint Joseph High School is pursuing a bachelor of science in exercise science at The Valley.

Different members of the group served with six different organizations throughout the week ranging from Central Union Mission, A Wider Circle, Capital Area Food Bank and more. In addition, the students prepared a meal and engaged in very real and authentic conversations with the guests they were serving.

Throughout the four days, the students participated in meaningful times of reflection and discussion as together they grew their understanding of what the challenges of homelessness and poverty mean in our world.
