Rileigh Jo Evitts Receives All-Conference Women's Soccer Honor

2017 Nov 7

Four members of Lebanon Valley's women's soccer team were named to the All-MAC Commonweath Team. Rileigh Jo Evitts earned First-Team honors, while Emmie Santoleri landed on the Second Team. Teanna Shutt and Meghan Ross each received Honorable Mention.

Rileigh Jo Evitts of Auburn, Pa. was named First Team MAC All Conference. Evitts, a graduate of Schuylkill Haven Area High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in neuroscience at The Valley.

Evitts earned her first-career All-Conference selection after leading LVC in goals (11) and points (23). She scored one game-winning goal, and also paced the Dutchmen in shots with 74. Back on Sept. 7, Evitts matched the program's single-game record for total points with 10 and tied the single-game record with five goals scored in a 9-0 win over Marywood. The junior was named the MAC-Commonwealth and ECAC Offensive POTW, and she became the first player in LVC women's soccer history to be named the United Soccer Coaches DIII National Player of the Week.

Santoleri picked up her first-ever All-MAC Commonwealth selection after providing stability to LVC's backfield. The senior, who started every game this season, helped anchor a defense that allowed just 1.07 goals per game. In the Dutchmen's 5-1 win over Lycoming, Santoleri registered an assist.

Shutt was named to the All-Conference squad for her first time after finishing second on the team in goals (9) and points (20). The senior led the team with four game-winning goals and on Oct. 17, she joined Evitts and was named the United Soccer Coaches DIII National Player of the Week after netting three goals in two conference-wins for the Dutchmen.

Ross earned her second-career All-Conference recognition, as she earned Honorable Mention in her sophomore season. Ross led the team with seven assists this season, and her five goals ranked the senior third on the squad. In LVC's 9-0 win over Marywood earlier this season, Ross picked up five assists to tie the program record for most assists in one game. Later in the season, in the Dutchmen's 5-1 victory over Lycoming, Ross recorded a hat trick and guided LVC to a big conference win.
