Rachel Anderson Recognized for women's lacrosse at Lebanon Valley College

Rachel Anderson of Ephrata, Pa., was one of more than 200 Lebanon Valley College students who played a varsity sport during the 2016 spring season. Anderson, a graduate of Ephrata Senior High School, was a member of Lebanon Valley's women's lacrosse team(s). Anderson is pursuing a bachelor of science in health science at The Valley.

Lebanon Valley finished the season 11-8 with a 6-2 record in MAC Commonwealth play. The team's conference playoff run ended in a semifinal loss to Stevenson. Their ECAC playoff berth also ended in the semifinal round against Stockton. The Dutchmen had five players received all-conference honors. Senior Emily Moatz was named the MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Year, along with Sam Boyce and Emma Jones earning first-team honors. Seniors Tori Kuntz and Shelby Morris received second-team honors. Moatz and Jones also picked up Metro Region Second-Team honors from the IWLCA. The season was filled with milestones as Boyce scored her 200th career goal and Kuntz reached and surpassed 100 goals scored. Kuntz was also named to the MAC Spring Sportsmanship Team. The Dutchmen also hosted a One Love game to support the One Love Foundation to raise awareness of dating violence.

A member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III, American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), and Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), Lebanon Valley College offers 24 sports.
