Nicholas Scullin Receives Player of the Week Honor

Nicholas Scullin of Winfield, Pa., is one of four Lebanon Valley College student-athletes who received Player of the Week honors for the Flying Dutchmen athletics teams.

Scullin, a graduate of Lewisburg Area High School was named MAC Men's Track Athlete of the Week. Scullin put together arguably the best race of his career in winning the unattached 800m run at the Penn State National Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The senior's time of 1:53.70 is the second-fastest time in program history and currently ranks him eighth in the event in NCAA Division III. His time is also the top-mark in the conference to this point and qualified him for next month's MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The team captain bested runners from several Division I programs such as Penn State, Maryland, St. Joe's, Buffalo, Monmouth, Bucknell, Army, and Coppin State.

Scullin is pursuing a bachelor of science in biology at The Valley.
