Nicholas Scullin Named All-Region by USTFCCCA

2018 Mar 5

Nicholas Scullin of Winfield, Pa., was named a 2018 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field All-Region honorees by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Scullin, a graduate of Lewisburg Area High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in biology.

To earn all-region accolades, an athlete must either be ranked in the top-five of an individual event in their respective region or be a member of a top-three relay team according to final data from TFRRS.

On the same day he earned all-region recognition, Scullin also learned that he'll be competing in the upcoming 2018 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on the campus of Birmingham-Southern in Birmingham, Ala. this weekend.

Scullin won gold in the 800m and earned first-team all-conference recognition at the MAC Indoor Championships two weeks ago and was named the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Track Athlete of the Week earlier this season after running a 1:53.70 in the event at the Penn State National Invitational in January. It was the quickest mark of his career and a time that ranks second-fastest all-time in program history.
