Nicholas Irick of Schwenksville Spending Semester in Hamilton, New Zealand

2016 Feb 2

Nicholas Irick of Schwenksville, Pa. is one of 19 Lebanon Valley College students studying away for the spring 2016 semester. Irick is spending the semester in Hamilton, New Zealand as part of the College's study abroad program, which includes 12 foreign countries and two stateside internship opportunities.

This program offers students the opportunity to take four courses at The University of Waikato, located in the city of Hamilton, New Zealand's fourth largest city in the north-central region of the North Island, only 90 minutes south of Auckland.

Irick, a graduate of Perkiomen Valley High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in chemistry in ACS chemistry at The Valley.

By the time they graduate, nearly 20 percent of LVC students will have spent time studying and traveling abroad, experiences that will shape and inform the rest of their lives as global citizens.
