Megan Williams Earns Conference Player of the Week Honor

2018 May 10

After helping lead Lebanon Valley College to its second-ever conference championship, women's tennis player Megan Williams of Warminster, Pa., has been named the MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week.

Williams was named the 2018 MAC Commonwealth Women's Tennis Championship MVP after leading the Flying Dutchmen to the conference title. The senior won both of her singles matches last week; the first against Lycoming's Kim Parroccini (6-0, 6-0) in the semifinals on Tuesday and against Messiah's Emily Wichert (6-7 (3), 6-4, 6-2) on Saturday afternoon. Her singles victory against the Falcons tied the team score at 4-4 to give teammate Meridyth Sanders the chance to pick up the team win with a victory in the No. 6 solo match.

Williams, a graduate of William Tennent High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in psychology at The Valley.
