Megan Kimmel Receives Gold Community Service Award

Megan Kimmel, of Ephrata, Pa., will be honored at Lebanon Valley College's May 13 Commencement ceremony as a Gold Community Service Award recipient, having served more than 100 hours, and having completed a multi-day residential service project during their years at The Valley.

Kimmel, a graduate of Ephrata Senior High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in biochemistry and molecular biology.

The 2017 Gold Award recipients, 23 in all, served the local community in a variety of ways. They raised funds for the American Cancer Society, encouraged athletes in Special Olympics, built homes with Habitat for Humanity and volunteered at numerous local organizations, among other service projects.

These students have helped LVC earn a spot on the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll each of the last three years.
