Megan Hummel of Harrisburg Inducted to Kappa Delta Pi at Lebanon Valley College

Megan M. Hummel of Harrisburg, Pa., was inducted to the Kappa Delta Pi honor society at Lebanon Valley College during Inquiry 2014, the College's two week long celebration of the scholarly, scientific, and creative achievements of the student body. Hummel is pursuing a bachelor of science in early childhood education and special education and is a graduate of Central Dauphin East High School.

Education students are eligible for membership in Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society inĀ education. Founded in 1911, Kappa Delta Pi represents knowledge, duty, and power. Pioneering from its beginning by including women as well as men, KDP grew from a local chapter to the international organization it is today, comprising 600 chapters and more than 40,000 members. Albert Einstein, George Washington Carver, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Margaret Mead are just a few of the historically known members.
