Mary Baldassarre of Barto Inducted to Pi Mu Epsilon and Kappa Delta Pi at Lebanon Valley College

Mary M. Baldassarre of Barto, Pa., was inducted to the Pi Mu Epsilon and Kappa Delta Pi honor society at Lebanon Valley College during Inquiry 2014, the College's two week long celebration of the scholarly, scientific, and creative achievements of the student body. Baldassarre is pursuing a bachelor of science in mathematics and is a graduate of Boyertown Area High School.

The Pi Mu Epsilon national mathematical sciences honor society is dedicated to the promotion of mathematics and recognition of students who successfully pursue mathematical understanding.

Education students are eligible for membership in Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society inĀ education. Founded in 1911, Kappa Delta Pi represents knowledge, duty, and power. Pioneering from its beginning by including women as well as men, KDP grew from a local chapter to the international organization it is today, comprising 600 chapters and more than 40,000 members. Albert Einstein, George Washington Carver, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Margaret Mead are just a few of the historically known members.
