Mark Peters Co-Authors Published Journal Article

Mark Peters of Greencastle, Pa., is one of four Lebanon Valley College students to co-author an article with College faculty that will soon be published. As part of a collaboration, the Departments of Mathematical Sciences and of Physics announced the article "Local Pauli stabilizers of symmetric hypergraph states," was accepted and will soon appear in Journal of Physics A: Mathematical and Theoretical.

Peters, a graduate of Greencastle-Antrim High School, received a bachelor of science in actuarial science and mathematics at The Valley.

The students were mentored by Dr. David W. Lyons from Mathematical Sciences and Dr. Scott Walck from Physics. The students' summer research projects with the LVC Mathematical Physics Research Group contributed substantially to the results of the paper in the area of quantum information science (QIS).
