Maria Scacchitti is Welcomed to Residential Life at Lebanon Valley College

2014 Oct 24

Lebanon Valley College's Office of Residential Life is excited to have Maria Scacchitti of Kersey, Pa. as one of the newest members of the LVC residence hall community.

Scacchitti is one of 456 new members of the residential life community at LVC. Scacchitti, a graduate of Elk County Christian High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in psychobiology at The Valley.

LVC is a four year residential college and believes that an LVC education is the result of distinctively curricular and co-curricular experiences in class, on campus, and in the residence halls. Approximately 1,200 LVC students live in the residence halls on campus each year.

Housing is guaranteed for all full-time students at LVC, and the Residential Life staff is committed to making sure that students have a safe, welcoming place to live, as well as access to the resources they need to succeed in their academic and personal development.

Through collaborative efforts of resident assistants and area coordinators, residence halls facilitate social, cultural, and educational programs such as outside speakers, campus presenters, movies, discussions, games, and study breaks to ensure that students get the most out of their residential experience.

LVC offers a range of housing options. For the first two years, students live in traditional residence halls, allowing them to learn about themselves, meet a lot of people, and make friends. Most upperclassmen live in more independent environments, including small houses, rooms clustered as suites, or apartment-style housing.
