Lebanon Valley College Inducts Leah Kline to the Phi Sigma Iota Honor Society

Leah Kline of Middleburg, Pa., was recently inducted to Phi Sigma Iota, the Department of Languages honor society at Lebanon Valley College, during the College's Inquiry 2015 celebration. Kline, a graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in biology at The Valley.

Phi Sigma Iota, the Department of Languages honor society, recognizes outstanding accomplishment in the study or teaching of any of the academic fields related to foreign language, literature, or culture. These fields include not only modern foreign languages, but also classics, linguistics, philology, comparative literature, bilingual education, second language acquisition, and other interdisciplinary programs with a significant foreign language component. Phi Sigma Iota is the highest academic honor in the field of foreign languages, with 250 chapters of Phi Sigma Iota at institutions of higher learning in the U.S., Mexico, and France.

Inquiry 2015 coincides with the Council for Undergraduate Research's week-long celebration of student research and achievement. At LVC, we will celebrate the scholarly, scientific, and creative achievements of the student body. Inquiry events began Sunday, April 12, and conclude Friday, April 24.
