Lebanon Valley College Inducts Brianna Keogan to the Delta Alpha Pi Honor Society

2016 Apr 14

Brianna Keogan of West Chester, Pa., was recently inducted to Delta Alpha Pi, an academic honor society for students with disabilities in colleges and universities, during Lebanon Valley College's Inquiry 2016 celebration. Keogan, a graduate of B Reed Henderson High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in early childhood education and special education at The Valley.

Delta Alpha Pi is an academic honor society for students with disabilities in colleges and universities. According to the society's website, because of the negative stereotyping associated with disability, students have been reluctant to identify themselves publicly. Delta Alpha Pi presents an opportunity to change that perception by recognizing students with disabilities for their academic accomplishments. The society also seeks to facilitate development of skills in leadership, advocacy and education for participating students.

Inquiry 2016 coincides with the Council for Undergraduate Research's week-long celebration of student research and achievement. At LVC, we will celebrate the scholarly, scientific, and creative achievements of the student body.
