Laura Blacker Is Honored as an Emerging Leader at Lebanon Valley College

2010 Feb 19

Laura Blacker of Allentown, PA, a freshman at Lebanon Valley College, Annville, Pa., was honored at a ceremony in February to celebrate the success of new students at LVC who have been recognized as emerging leaders. Blacker was presented with the gift of a zippered pad folio that read on the cover, "LVC, Making a Difference," along with a formal "certificate of recognition." The honored students mingled with faculty and staff at a reception with food and flowers in the atrium of LVC's Neidig-Garber Science Center.

LVC President Stephen C. MacDonald challenged the students to continue their success, telling them they were off to a good start, and he was expecting great things from them in the future. The students who won the award were nominated by faculty, administrators, coaches, and staff at the College.

Founded in 1866, Lebanon Valley College is a liberal arts and pre-professional college with an enrollment of 1,600 undergraduate students.
