Jessica Hamati-Attieh Earns MAC Academic Honors

Jessica Hamati-Attieh of Allentown, Pa., is one of four Lebanon Valley College student-athletes who received academic awards from the MIddle Atlantic Conference.

Hamati-Attieh, a member of the women's volleyball team, was named MAC Academic All-Conference. Hamati-Attieh, a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in exercise science at The Valley.

The junior became the 10th player in program history to earn AVCA All-America recognition when she was named an honorable mention by the organization in November after a 2017 campaign that saw her pegged AVCA All-Region and MAC Commonwealth First-Team All-Conference. The hitter was LVC's top offensive player and led the team with 383 kills and a 3.75 kills per set average. She also made her mark defensively by racking up 65 total blocks on the season. This fall, she became just the ninth player in program history to record 1,000 career kills. Attieh has also been strong in the classroom during her time at Lebanon Valley. She has earned a spot on the MAC Academic Honor Roll on three occasions and posted a 3.69 term GPA this fall.
