Jeremy De la Cruz Recognized as LVC Student-Athlete

2016 Dec 12

Jeremy De la Cruz of Lebanon, Pa., is one of more than 200 student-athletes who competed for the Flying Dutchmen during the Fall 2016 semester. De la Cruz, a graduate of Lebanon High School, is pursuing a bachelor of arts in criminal justice at The Valley.

De la Cruz was a member of the football team. Lebanon Valley finished its 2016 season on a tear, winning three consecutive contests to end the fall, including a thrilling 28-25 victory over longtime rival Albright in the season finale. A blocked field goal as time expired gave the Flying Dutchmen their first win over the Lions since 2011 and the ensuing March to Kreiderheim earned the student body the traditional full day off from classes on the day before Thanksgiving. First-Teamers Bryant Weller and Evan Lyscszek led eight LVC players on the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) All-Conference Teams, while tailback Brendon Irving set the program's all-time career rushing mark with more than 4,000 yards on the ground.

A member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III, American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), and Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), Lebanon Valley College offers 25 sports.
