Ian Lloyd Honored at 69th Annual All-Sports Reception at Lebanon Valley College

Lebanon Valley College held its 69th Annual All-Sports Reception on Sunday, April 29 at Sorrentino Gymnasium, awarding year-end accolades and team MVP honors as LVC's senior student-athletes were recognized for their achievements. Ian Lloyd of Millersburg, Pa., a member of the men's swimming team, received the following award(s): Team Most Valuable Player.

Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Team of the Year honors went to men's basketball and women's tennis to lead the major awards.

Men's basketball won the program's first outright conference championship in 23 years and earned a berth in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in more than a decade. Sam Light earned an all-America honorable mention nod and Andy Orr was named a CoSIDA Academic All-American. The squad as a whole was pegged the NABC Division III National Team of the Week in January.

Women's tennis won 14 matches last spring, finished undefeated against MAC Commonwealth opposition in the regular season, and earned the top seed in the conference's championship tournament before bowing out in the MAC Commonwealth Championship match. Joy Graeff was named the conference's coach of the year and Marla Scacchitti was tabbed second-team all-conference.

Men's soccer head coach Charlie Grimes offered the event's invocation. Men's ice hockey and men's golf's Russ Armbruster and women's soccer's Katie Goldsmith presented the SAAC Team of the Year awards, while men's soccer's Nate Gibbons presented the women's soccer team with the inaugural Step UP! Team of the Year award.

In addition, 15 Dutchmen earned Distinguished Athlete accolades for earning eight varsity letters or receiving regional and/or national honors, while an impressive 77 student-athletes received LVC Scholar-Athlete recognition for being a junior, senior, or graduate student with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
