Ian Lloyd Earns MAC All-Conference Swimming Award

Lebanon Valley College swimmer Ian Lloyd of Millersburg, Pa., capped one of the greatest four-year careers in program history by winning silver in the 200-yard butterfly thanks to a program record-breaking time of 1:52.94 at the 2018 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships at the Graham Aquatic Center on Sunday afternoon, Feb. 18.

The mark also bested previous conference and conference championship records. The senior picked up all-conference second-team honors in the process. For the weekend, Lloyd won gold (200 IM), silver (200 fly), and bronze (100 fly), earned three all-conference honors, broke four program records, and added an additional podium finish as a member of the 200 free relay along with teammates Charlie Besjak, Gabe Dimisa, and Chris Kurtz.

Lloyd, a graduate of Millersburg Area High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in health science at The Valley.

His performance at the final MAC Championships of his career was a fitting sendoff for Lloyd. During his time at LVC, the team captain has won a pair of conference titles and accumulated a plethora of all-conference accolades. With the 2017-18 season now in the books, Lloyd finishes his as a program record holder in 15 events.
