Emily Johnson to Study Away in Melbourne, Australia This Fall

2016 Jul 28

Emily Johnson of Landisville, Pa., is one of 30 Lebanon Valley College students who will participate in an immersive experience by studying away during the Fall 2016 semester. Johnson will be studying in Melbourne, Australia.

This fall semester program offers students the opportunity to take courses abroad equivalent to LVC major, minor, and general education requirements. Students live and take four courses at Monash University, located 30 minutes outside of Melbourne's city center. As Australia's second largest city, boasting a population of almost 4 million, Melbourne offers an amazing lifestyle for college students. There is a thriving live music and cultural scene, and close proximity to bayside beaches and adventurous outdoor activities.

Johnson, a graduate of Hempfield High School, is pursuing a bachelor of arts in global studies at The Valley.

LVC offers full-semester programs in 11 countries as well as several short-term international programs. By the time they graduate, 20 percent of LVC students will have lived and studied in another country.
