Emily Banks Named to Middle Atlantic Conference Academic Honor Roll

2016 Jan 28

Emily Banks of Hummelstown, Pa., is one of 109 Lebanon Valley student-athletes named to the Middle Atlantic Conference's (MAC) Fall Academic Honor Roll.

Banks, a gradute of Lower Dauphin High School, is a member of the women's cross country team, and is pursuing a bachelor of science in early childhood education and special education at The Valley. Banks placed in the top 100 at this year's MAC championships.

The academic honor roll is comprised of student-athletes who compete in a varsity level sport and registered a term/semester GPA of 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale) or higher. In 2015-16, the MAC is allowing freshmen to be eligible for the conference academic honor roll for the first time.

The addition of freshmen allowed for a record 1,377 MAC student-athletes who competed in men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball to earn honor roll recognition.
