David Herbst Recognized as LVC Student-Athlete

David Herbst of Mechanicsburg, Pa., is one of more than 200 student-athletes who competed for the Flying Dutchmen during the 2017 spring sports season. Herbst, a graduate of Mechanicsburg Area High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in actuarial science at The Valley.

Herbst was a member of the men's golf team. Men's golf turned in one of the strongest team efforts in recent memory in 2016-17, finishing third at the MAC Championships in April. Sophomore David Herbst tied for the runner-up spot at the event en route to earning MAC First-Team All-Conference honors. Freshman Thomas Moran came home seventh at the championship outing to pick up MAC Second-Team All-Conference recognition. Herbst was named to the MAC Spring Sportsmanship Team.

A member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III, American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), and Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), Lebanon Valley College offers 25 sports.
