David Herbst Named MAC Commonwealth Golfer of the Week

David Herbst of Mechanicsburg, Pa., has been named the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Golfer of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday, Sept. 18. Herbst, a graduate of Mechanicsburg Area High School, is a member of the Lebanon Valley College men's golf team and is pursuing a bachelor of science in actuarial science at The Valley.

Herbst finished tied for fifth out of 83 golfers at the Penn State Harrisburg Invitational on Saturday and Sunday. The junior shot a two-day score of 149 (+7). He was two-over par (73) on day one and followed it up with a 76 (+5) on day two. As a team, the Dutchmen finished seventh out of 16 teams.
