Connor Feeney of Mohrsville Takes the Stage in "Kiss Me Kate" at Lebanon Valley College

2016 Oct 7

Connor Feeney of Mohrsville, Pa. will participate in the upcoming production of the musical "Kiss Me Kate," by Lebanon Valley College's Wig and Buckle Theater Company. The event will open Friday, Oct. 28. Feeney is a graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School and is pursuing a bachelor of science in health science. Feeney's role in "Kiss Me Kate" is gangster 1.

Set in the 1940s, "Kiss Me Kate" is a show within a show about a cast putting on a new musical version of William Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew." However, their opening night begins with a few obstacles-involving love triangles, gangsters, and more-that are getting in the way of finishing the show. With the lead actress threatening to leave before the second act, it's hard to tell if this new musical will make it through opening night.

Since 1935, Wig and Buckle, a student-run organization, has performed musicals and plays for the enjoyment of LVC students and members of surrounding communities. The Company is teaming up once again with Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and Sigma Alpha Iota--two music fraternities on LVC's campus that provide service hours to help with selling tickets, box office tasks, tear down of the set, and performing on stage--to bring this entertaining show to life.
