Cara Breslin Participates in Winter Athletics at Lebanon Valley College

2015 Mar 26

Cara Breslin of Camp Hill, Pa., was among 177 Lebanon Valley College students who played a varsity sport during the 2014-2015 winter season. Breslin, a graduate of Cedar Cliff High School, is pursuing a bachelor of arts in English at The Valley and was a member of Lebanon Valley's women's basketball team.

Lebanon Valley finished the season 21-9 and won the ECAC South Women's Basketball Championship with an 81-58 victory over longtime rival Albright. LVC was the only MAC Commonwealth team to defeat the eventual CC champs from Stevenson this year before being eliminated from the Commonwealth postseason tournament by the NCAA tournament-bound Mustangs in late February. Juniors Bridget Rothert and Taylor Umbrell earned MAC Commonwealth All-Conference honors as Rothert was a first-team all-conference selection while Umbrell was named to the all-conference second-team. Umrell was also named the ECAC South tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

A member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III, American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), and Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), Lebanon Valley College offers 24 sports.
