Cameron Avery Earns Men's Soccer ECAC Honors

After guiding Lebanon Valley's men's soccer team to a pair of victories last week, Cameron Avery of Mechanicsburg, Pa. has been named the East Coast Athletic Conference's (ECAC) DIII South Defensive Player of the Week.. This announcement comes a day after Avery was named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week. Avery, a graduate of Cumberland Valley High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in health science at The Valley.

Avery was stellar in goal for the Dutchmen and earned two shutout victories last week. The senior opened the week with five saves in a 2-0 road win over previously unbeaten No. 20 Gettysburg. He made several point-blank saves in the victory. Avery followed it up with six saves in a 4-0 shutout of Keystone to pick up his fifth win the season. He's currently posting a 0.43 goals-against average, good for 19th in the country.
