Caitlin Ritchey Recognized for women's swimming at Lebanon Valley College

Caitlin Ritchey of Landisville, Pa., was one of more than 180 Lebanon Valley College students who played a varsity sport during the 2015-16 winter season. Ritchey, a graduate of Hempfield High School, was a member of Lebanon Valley's women's swimming team. Ritchey is pursuing a bachelor of science in biology at The Valley.

The Flying Dutchmen ended their season with a record of 5-7 overall and were a perfect 3-0 in their home pool. At the MAC Championships, Jan Ikeda won Middle Atlantic Conference Championships in the 100 fly and 200 fly. For Ikeda, it was her third 100 fly MAC Championship after winning titles as a junior in 2014 and as a freshman in 2012. Freshman Erica Wise won the 2016 MAC Championship in the 50 free and set a number of school records during her first collegiate season. Her MAC victory earned Wise her first MAC First-Team All-Conference honor. In addition to Ikeda and Wise, Alayna Kalinay, Leslie Hiller, and Lauren Skorupski earned All-MAC honors as members of relay teams.

A member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III, American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA), Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), and Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC), Lebanon Valley College offers 24 sports.
