2017 Mar 15

Brianna Metsger of Sinking Spring, Pa., traveled with 23 additional Lebanon Valley College students to St. Augustine, Florida for a spring break service trip. Metsger, a graduate of Wilson High School is pursuing a bachelor of arts in English at The Valley.

In addition to the satisfaction that comes from serving the community, an incentive program rewards students for their service. Bronze, Silver, or Gold Community Service Awards-based on the number of hours a student serves the local community-are posted on LVC's career networking website for the benefit of prospective employers. Students who serve the local community are also recognized at an annual banquet and in the Commencement program.

For three consecutive years, the College has been named to the President's Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, the highest honor a college or university can receive for its commitment to volunteering, service-learning, and civic engagement.
