Brett Johnson Earns Weekly Ice Hockey Award

Brett Johnson of Bronxville, N.Y., is one of two Lebanon Valley College men's ice hockey players that have earned weekly awards from the United Collegiate Hockey Conference and Middle Atlantic Conference.

Johnson, a graduate of Middletown High School South, is pursuing a bachelor of science in business administration at The Valley. Johnson was named Co-Player of the Week by the the United Collegiate Hockey Conference and Offensive Player of the Week by the Middle Atlantic Conference. Johnson has also been named to D3hockey.com's National Team of the Week.

Johnson guided LVC to an undefeated week that included a thrilling 3-2 victory over No. 13 Utica. He finished the week with six points on four goals and a pair of assists. Against the Pioneers, Johnson tied the game in the second period before setting upECole HeplerEfor the game-winning power-play score with 30 seconds left in regulation. The junior notched a hat trick and added an assist in the team's 5-2 win over Nazareth the next day, with three of his four points coming on the power play.
