Angela Fleig Participates in LVC's Social Justice Institute

Angela Fleig of Reading, Pa., is one of 13 Lebanon Valley College students who participated in the College's annual Social Justice Institute in January. Fleig, a graduate of Reading Senior High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in psychology and sociology at The Valley.

This year's institute was titled From Fingerpaint to Fingerprints: School-to-Prison Pipeline in Philadelphia. During the three-day leadership experiences, students attended a workshop with LVC faculty and then a second at The Philadelphia Center which discussed mass incarceration. The group of students also spent time at the Philadelphia office of the American Civil Liberties Union and visited the National Constitution Center.
