Anderson Orr Earns ECAC Men's Basketball Honors

2018 Mar 12

Anderson Orr of Wernersville, Pa., is one of two Lebanon Valley College men's basketball athletes who have earned All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) honors. Orr was recognized as a Second-Team All-ECAC honoree.

Orr averaged nearly a double-double on the season and was named a 2018 Jostens Trophy top-10 finalist after posting 18.2 points and 9.9 rebounds per contest en route to racking up 13 double-doubles on the year, including one against No. 18 Middlebury in the NCAA Tournament. The senior was named first-team all-conference for the third time in his career while ranking 12th in the nation in total free throws made, 25th in blocks per game, and 36th in rebounds per contest. The team captain was named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week on three occasions to go along with an ECAC South Player of the Week honor and a spot on the D3hoops.com Team of the Week. Orr is the only player in program history to score 1,900 points for his career (1,946 points) and collect 900 rebounds for his career (910 rebounds). Thanks to his success in the classroom, he was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for the second year in a row. He finished his career ranked fifth on LVC's all-time scoring list and third on the all-time rebounding list.

Orr, a graduate of Conrad Weiser Area High School, is pursuing a bachelor of science in business administration at The Valley.

This season, the duo led Lebanon Valley (18-10) to the program's first outright conference title since 1995 and its first appearance in the NCAA Division III Championship Tournament since 2005.
