Amanda Strouse to Perform in Pride of the Valley Marching Band

Amanda Strouse of Montgomery, Pa., will march with the 2015 Pride of the Valley Marching Band of Lebanon Valley College. Strouse, a graduate of Montgomery Area Jr-Sr High School, is pursuing a bachelor of music in music recording technology.

The marching band performs at all home football games as well as appearances at various exhibitions throughout the fall semester.

During the upcoming football season, members of the 2015 Pride of the Valley Marching Band will present their show "The Music of Scheherazade" which contains three selections from Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. The band will also perform "Creep" by Radiohead.

The band is under the direction of Dr. Christopher J. Heffner, director of bands and associate professor of music, and drum majors Sam Porter, Meghan Owens, and Michael Halcovage.

This year's Pride of the Valley boasts 144 students who represent 24 of the College's academic programs and nearly 10% of total college enrollment.
